Excel by Eight in Sevier County

The E8 Sevier County Alliance is advancing food security, literacy, physical activity, maternal health, and mental health to support young children and families. As a LEARNS Local Lead organization, the coalition is strengthening early childhood programs through community partnerships. Additionally, funding from No Kid Hungry has increased summer meal distribution by 182%, earning the coalition statewide recognition for its hunger relief efforts. The community also continues to promote early literacy and physical activity through the Early Learning Parks Project, expanding book trees and playground equipment and developing plans for a new StoryWalk®.
